How we boosted sales across the board

The McDonald’s Monopoly promotion is the restaurant’s biggest campaign of the year.
While it’s a thrill to pay, 2022 saw a raft of scepticism spread across Australia. Data revealed that many Australians didn’t believe they could win. So we used data to prove they could, in a game-changing campaign. 

We leveraged live data to refresh campaign messaging in real time. The world-first innovation displayed a live ticker on digital screens inside McDonald’s restaurants across Australia, and invited winners to share their stories through the MyMaccas app.

The Results?

The ticker changed the conversation.

With a lift in participation of 16% and a sales increase of 12%, data converted the doubters.
The campaign proved to be so successful the ticker will be implemented indefinitely.
